Conducing primary and secondary research

The difference between primary and secondary research is when you collect information from the internet which you didn’t use summaries into your own word. Whilst as primary research shows that you are collecting data that has not been gathered before and use variety of purposes: it can include Surveys, interview, observations, focus groups, questionnaires, and ethnographic research.

Secondary research is a research method that involves using data that has already been collected by someone else. These are examples of secondary sources include: Journal articles that comment on or analsye research, textbooks, dictionaries and encyclopedias, books that interpret, analyse, political commentary, biographies, disserations, newspaper editorial/opinion pieces.

Quantitative and qualitative research

Quantitative Research deals with numbers and statistics, to test whether an intervention can reduce procrastination in college students, you give equalsized groups either a procrastination intervention or a comparable task. You compare self-ratings of procrastination behaviors between the groups after the intervention. Once data is collected, you may need to process it before it can be analysed. For example, survey and test data may need to be transformed from words to numbers. Then you can use statistical analysis to answer your research questions.

Advantages of Quantitative Research

Replication
Direct comparisons of results
Large samples
Hypothesis

Disadvantages of Quantitative Research

Superficiality
Narrow Focus
Structural bias
Lack of context

Quantitative Methodology is the dominant research framework in social sciences. It can refers to a set of strategies, techniques ad assumption used to study psychological, social and economic processes through the exploration of numeric patterns. Some of the numeric data is intrinsically quantitative (e.g. personal income), while in other cases the numeric structure is imposed (e.g. 'On a scale to 1 to 10, how deepressed did you feel last week?).

Campaign ideas that will be interesting for me to create as a overall production in any form of media:

I have created some ideas that could help me prepare for my chosen campaign as i feel like i have made the decision to pick racism-blm as my final piece. This is the reason why because i will prepare to ask my friends to involved in a a video that i willl recorded. However, i will asked my friend where its get to the point of planning and editing to the final scene of my video in the production. This will be a way for my friends to show what they made of.

Elements of identity:

I have learned that a campaign identity might need to be different from an established brand. When communicator are designing and creating a campaign as they often trying new various of ideas depending on what the issues is. To use existing brand, you can stick to the visual identity by using logo, color, typography and a general visual of style in photography, content density. Identity can be in a campaign by using bright colors and bigger text that suit very well with your identity campaign. Whether you create your own logo or graphics design, you must show your identity in a campaign that feels right.

An brand identity can make all the difference in fundraising. By creating  a unique visual identity, agreeing messaging and exploiting storytelling through various mediums, you can prove a brand that vibrate with your audience, fosters recognition and drives engagement. To set your campaign apart, you need to think of a name and colour scheme that you can use also fit the theme of the campaign.

Example of a social issue campaign awareness:
38 degrees is a British not-for-profit political-activism Organisation. It describe itself as "progressive" and claims to "campaign for fairness, defend rights, promote peace preserve the planet and deepen democracy in the UK. It aims to empower British citizens by providing easy ways for them to take action on the issues they care about, e.g., climate change, human rights and poverty.

Example of a social issues campaign :

Save the Children Charity Campaign
Every child should have medicine when they're sick.
For over 100 years, we've fought for a fairer world for children.
Save the Children’s work is only possible thanks to our 5 million UK supporters and their amazing commitment – from wearing a Christmas jumper to running our local shops to organising fundraising events.
Our incredible volunteers run over 100 shops, organise 300 local fundraising branches & put on amazing events around Britain.
Every child should have good food to fuel their bodies.
Every child has the right to learn
Together with families, supporters and partners, we work to help every child get the future they deserve.
In Britain, we’re using apps to help parents support early learning. In Rwanda, we’ve kickstarted a reading revolution. With GSK, we’ve developed an antiseptic gel that could save half a million babies' lives.
Over 100 years ago, our founder Eglantyne Jebb imagined a better world for children. Today, children's potential to change the world is at the heart of our global movement.
It's behind everything we say and do - as reflected in our strategy.
With a worldwide staff of around 24,000, we're working to change the future for good. Our UK leadership shapes our goals and ensures we achieve them, and is held accountable by our board of trustees.
And we're working for a better world with celebrities, corporate partners, trusts and institutions.
Together there is hope. Together we power possible.

The use of identity in a campaign:

In support of World Water Day 2018, Colgate is asking people to join their efforts to reduce water waste by turning off the faucet while brushing their teeth. The brand continues its multi-year campaign to raise awareness of water scarcity and to help preserve this natural resource.

As part of the 2018 effort, the brand announced its sponsorship of #RunningDry, an initiative created by water advocate and ultra-runner Mina Guli, who will run 100 marathons in 100 days across six continents to put a spotlight on water challenges around the globe.

Today, 130 million Americans face severe water scarcity for at least one month every year, yet 42% of Americans report leaving the faucet on whilst brushing their teeth. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, nearly four gallons of water can be wasted if the faucet is left running whilst brushing. By simply turning off the faucet, individuals can make a difference.

Continuing into year three of its global ‘Save Water’ campaign, the brand kicked off this year’s programme on World Water Day, and will continue its awareness efforts in April for Earth Month and in September for back-to-school. The brand’s goal is to bring attention to water scarcity and help save water through various activities.

Colgate is a great way to motivate people to understand that brushing teeth at least twice day in the morning and night before bed. The campaign can spread an awareness to help everyone include young people to not waste toothpaste or water even if you brush your teeth like for five minutes. Colgate is encouraging people to take their time and effort to use water wisely so that you are not making the situation harder for yourself. The brand can draw your attention successfully so you don’t have worry that hundreds of people in the uk or another country can select to Colgate because it is one of the unique products that you can find. The logo represents every drops counts that the world look to Colgate for health and hygiene product to enable the well-being of their families and cleaner, greener living. Red reflects the brand's dynamic and energetic pace and never- flagging vigor. White stands for sincerity and purity.

Four examples of Social Issues include the campaign that I have chosen as a final:

Colors Have No Gender
Yes, it is! In fact, pink was traditionally viewed as a boy's color because it was strong and distinct, while blue was dainty so it was more suitable for girls. It's interesting to read about how rapidly things changed in the mid to late '80s to a point where we have separate pink Legos in the "girl's" aisle of the toy store.
I'm just reflecting on the way we sometimes box in gender norms and expectations. And I think part of building toward a more gender equal, diverse, and inclusive world is to be mindful of our words. Kids don't associate colors with gender until we tell them to. The same goes for words. When I ask Carter who is strong, he says mommy and daddy. When I ask him who is beautiful, he says mommy and daddy. Because he knows the true meaning of the words.

Colours don't have Gender | Dream Ladder

Black Lives Matter

BLM is a campaign issues that police are attacking innocent people on the city in the UK and USA. They used a haters to shows they are discrimination and experienced by black people. there area always violent and knife crime in most part of the country expect America killed and shot by the police force. Supporters  are most likely to get some ideas to come together on the street to help and defend Black Lives Matter. They want to take action to infer that unequal rights and oppression that goes all the way back in the Middle Ages in the 70s and 80s century but continues into today.

The slogan is launched when we find out about George Floyd's death on may 20th 2020 in Florida. Among all the black people in football are kneeling down to show they respect and honest to the black community and people that passed away. Most people have the chance to explain how they feel is going on with  the campaign as most footballers in the current premier league are fighting as one of the footballer said "It never been about supporting black lives matter as an organisation."

We know that blm is a campaign that innocent people are forced to kneel and confront the police officer when they haven’t done anything wrong. This has been a problem since the greatest Martin Luther king’s death and we need to stand by it. Everyone in the global are coming together to show some respect to the people that has family and friends that cares about them. Which turns into a tragedy that they will lose their lives in small matters of time. This campaign is a serious issues to the community and we really need to address the facts that black people are human being just like a original person.

Where to Donate For George Floyd Protests, Black Social Justice OrganizationsHelloGiggles

This is one of the ideas that I have come up with to use for a campaign. I will make some notes that will be useful and help me discuss the issues further. I have this information to occur the facts that I could half the information for my video but I will do the arrangement steps by steps.

BLM Poster Suggestion 2

Protest poster with text BLM, Black lives matter and with raised fist Stock Vector | Adobe Stock

I was suggesting to use an example of the poster for my  campaign. If i would change this poster, i will add an image of my friend showing she is at the street protesting her right to the community to support the campaign. The image of my friend will be a black and white style format where she is enjoying looking up to the sky without being told to leave the scene. However, this was my imaginary or ideas that could be something I would select for my poster.

Breaking2 By Nike

Nike joined forces with a number of partners, including W+K, Uncle Toad’s Media Group, Dirty Robber, and Mindshare, to bring the monumental event to life. In its quest to engage with a new breed of runners, Nike live-streamed the event on YouTube and Twitter.
Something of this magnitude had never been attempted before by a sports brand, and it created a level of engagement far beyond the norms of a major U.S. marathon. It demonstrated that Nike’s belief in the power of sport to take on the impossible resonates with and engages not just athletes but popular culture at large. The project showed that shooting for the moon can inspire people to stay up all night and cheer for a person they’ve never heard of in a country on the other side of the world.
On May 6, 2017, on a Formula 1 track in Monza, Italy, Eliud Kipchoge ran the fastest (unofficial) marathon in history at 2 hours and 25 seconds. While the two-hour goal would remain out of reach, the project broke media records and showed the power of an ambitious, meaningful idea.

Nike 'Breaking 2' – Ad Analysis – A Creative Journal

Breaking2 by Nike is one of the popular brand runs by Nike, Adidas that support the organisation focused on economic empowerment, education and social justice to address racial inequality for black American. I think this campaign looks very similar to BLM address to the point that racism is a common issues that needs to stop which can impact black people's lives.  If I could make a swipe of the design of this poster I will refer the content as black community or people who can't afford to spend a lots of money on sport equipments.

Experimental Jetset

Jetset is now a small graphic design collective that makes printed matter and site specific installation. With their roots in zines, punk- rock posters, and band t-shirts, the artists now find inspiration in everything from de Stijl- the dutch modernist movement founded in 1917  to football,"Total Football," a theory of egalitarian teamwork in soccer. Neither a crew of individual designers nor a large agency.
Experimental Jetset contend that their group of three is "small enough for everybody to feel involved, but it's large enough to have the benefit of the collective that magical feeling when the whole turns out to be more than the sum of its parts.

They describe their methodology as "turning language in to object,"  and view graphic design as a platform for creativity, authorship, and self- expression,"designing typography, posters, T-Shirts, Pamphlets, and installations for institutions and events. For their 2019 commission for The Museum of Modern Art, they drew on two historic sites: Cafe Aubette, a restaurant, cinema, and dance Hall in France that expresses the tenets of the de Stiji movement and Philip Johnson's 1964 Moma building.

Example of their work for Jetset:

Experimental Jetset. De Theatercompagnie Postcards. 2006 | MoMA

This is one of the example of Jetset titled " you know i love you still and love you with all my heart shows the expression that the bright and general colours blue and red gives expression of how engaging the poster is displaying. I think people will aware the content of the posters because it's make them very happy and emotional. One of these example can be placed on the street of London or other part of England because when people come across this piece of art, its was a beautiful piece of work. The poster is slipped into two parts one side said one text and other one. I love how they use for the blue background light red text and this can be the poster that protrude professionally for the audience that could pick a copy of the magazine in store. However, the blue text for the red background identify the atmosphere of love and the meaning of the campaign that affect people's life.

Example 2

Out of Fashion

This is a poster that was created by expertimental jetset made in The Nederland. There is lots of different style of text all across the poster where it's show that the outcome of the poster is stand out and professionally presented that catch the audience attention and appearance. I can identify that they made this poster for a fashion show that why they are a few bright colors that help the audience understand the image more specifically. I know that the type face is Helvetia because the letter are bolder but look a bit thin. The colour blue text show that its was made from the nederland as it is part of their flag whilst the red text identity that it is from Europe.

Constructivism Information

Constructivism is an early twentieth- century  art movement founded in 1915 by Vladimir and Alexander. Abstract and Austere, Constructivist art aimed to reflect modern society and space. Aleksei Gan played a leading role in the development of the constructivist aesthetic. In his interpretation of constructivism, which he saw as the creative counterpart to the socio- political tasks of the revolution, Gan called for creative activity to be cause to the maximum and for its artistic component to be minimised.

Constructivism is a role of a artist was re-imagined- the artist became an engineer wielding tool, instead of being a painter holding a brush. For the constructivism, artworks were part of a greater visual program meant to awaken the masses and lead them towards awareness of social inequalities, and revolution. Constructivism reached as far and wide as architecture, design, fashion, and mass- produced objects.

Aleksei Gan

Aleksei gan was a famous graphic design who create  different ranges of design for any campaign and part of the constructivist awareness. He wrote an influenced policy statement for the movement and created different types of artworks  from magazines and buildings. Gan's involvement with the creative activity began in 1917 when he knew that he was working for the Moscow union of food workers with whom he set up a group. The group rejected the graphic design, photography and posters when he was coming up with incredible ideas to keep the business more effective.

Gan has the habit of hiding personal details of his life from family and friends so that they don't know that he is a graphic designer  he wanted to keep his work private. He wrote his publication, constructivism, in 1922 that remains active as a theorist until the early 1930s, when the movement was destroyed by soviet power, making ways for socialist realism. However, it was known that he was born to a famous Russia family of the French origin, Mikhail imberkh and had five siblings.

Example 1

Alexander Rodchenko and constructivism

This photo is eye catching that shows the women is campaigning the civil rights of the organization. There is a few texts on the picture that refer she is trying to get people attention to speak up and to be heard. The women has a microphone speaker to address the campaign to others and make people have their own path to have their voice to say. There is a meaning toward the picture as the woman is trying to get people to listen and vote so that the campaign can keep going for the audience. The poster by  Rodchenko is about literacy(Please)! In All Branches of Knowledge that was made in 1924. and the woman is saying books!

Example 2

This photo is very eye catching as it shows that the man look like he is yelling as it’s been repeated three time in a photo strip or movie trailer showing that he is campaigning his right to people to respond. The colour is light brown like a wooden style painting that was made in the war as it’s looked like it’s been made in the world war decades. The photo has an exclamation mark convey the command and action features to address a move or stop immediately. I like how it’s shows that the man is giving the same expression every time in the scene format because the style of strips that also identifies that they have created a short movie. This campaign look like they have been a situation that need to be solved. This is  (Long Live the Demonstration of Everyday Life!) in the 1923 Aleksei Gan Booklet.

Videos that I have found useful by taking some ideas for my own video:

I have find and select two useful video relating to BLM that could helped use their ideas to create my own clip. The second link is a music video made by Dax campaigning his issues to the public by standing up to his right and saving the community. I might use some of these ideas to develop some social issues into a video where I have my best friend speak what is on her mind on BLM. And how she can deal with the issues by being honest for her opinion. They may not be official yet but there are just ideas that I have present myself with.

Social Issues Campaign and Jetset Experimenting Poster:

This is a first practice poster that I have created and made up my mind up. However, I used adobe illustrator to create a similar poster that I will used as a final overall.  This is an example of what my poster would look like but i haven't made that decision yet because i might add some more detail to the poster soon. I might blend the two poster ideas together from poster 1 and 2 to show that I have used both solutions of ideas for my final poster of my campaign.

My constructive poster 1

My constructive poster 2

My text type Jetset poster

This is my second poster that I used Carva instead of adobe illustrator. I think Carva is very similar to illustrator but the different is that there are no tools like the original on illustrator. I think I have made a great start to the poster.  However I think I will decide if this poster would be my final choice because it’s really relate to me personally. I used text boxes and my own image to personalise the theme of my campaign. I also made the text smaller and bigger for each to make the poster more efficient. I have came up with so many ideas of slogan for this poster which was very inspiring for me to modify.

Image that I will use for my final poster on Black Lives Matter:

I will use this tagline "Voice For Changes Digital" that I will use for my final poster. This is the image I will use officially for my campaign to show the social issues of black live matter.

This is my best friend that i will use for my final poster that represents black lives matter and the chosen campaign name "Equality Stand"(updated campaign name).

Lighting Technique Definition

Natural Lighting: is also known as daylighting is a technique that efficiently brings natural light in your home using exterior glazing (windows, skylights), thereby reducing artificial lighting requirements and saving energy. Most people do not understand that daylighting requires more than just building windows and skylight .
Three type of Natural Lighting:
  • Direct Sunlight
  • External Reflection
  • Internal Reflection
Example of Natural lighting of the room:
How To Get Natural Light Into A Room Without Windows | Modern.Place

What does lighting mean?

Lighting is to improve visibility and safety, especially after dark when our eyesight does not fulfil its role well anymore. At its most basic level, lighting allows film makers to capture an image in the first place. Most of the film markers want to do  more than just create images we can see clearly. Instead they want to create scenes where the lighting itself adds mood and meaning.

Type of Lighting:
High key light- creates low contrast. Nearly everything in the shot is lit. This is created by fill light and backlighting to achieve this effect. High-key lighting is created through well-lit shots designed to focus on brightness and white tones while reducing contrast, dark tones, and shadows. The degree of contrast and depth of the shadows in a shot is the result of lighting: Intense and focused light creates deeper shadows and sharper contrast. Diffusing the light evenly creates a softer image with higher exposure—this is a hallmark of high-key lighting.

19 High Key Photography Tips for Beginners

Low key lighting- creates stronger contrasts like chiaroscuro. Usually, only one lighting source is used. it also type of lighting style used in photography, film, and television that accentuates shadows, high contrast, and dark tones. The visual aesthetic of low-key lighting is usually achieved by using hard sources or key lights with minimal to no fill light. Low-key lighting is often used in thrillers, dramas, and horror films because of the mysterious, dark, and dramatic mood the style creates.

This is an example of Low Key Lighting of the horse facing down looking at the ground:

Behind the magic - Behind the scenes studio lit shoot - Katie Mortimore Photography

Key lighting- is the primary light source for your scene. The strength, colour. and angle of your light is a determining factor to a cinematographer's lighting design. The key light is most often placed in front of your subject, at an angle, and illuminates one section of your subject. A key and a fill light are used in the two-point system. The key light directs the main light source onto the subject, while the fill light serves to decrease shadows and spreads the light more evenly. This is ideal for avoiding shadows that might change a chroma key when using a green screen.

This is an example of Key Lighting that has a dark tone round the face from head to the neck:

How to Shoot Portrait Photography with a Low-key Lighting Setup? - B&C Camera

Here is a fine looking young man facing toward the camera lens whilst as the background from around the subject is very in tension and dynamic expression. This bring the fact that the young boy is showing that he is very evil  and sinful that creates a good atmosphere. I love how he is posing for the camera knowing that he knew what pose to make before snapshot the image.

Backlighting- is a light that hits an actor or subject from behind, typically higher than the subject is exposing. Backlighting an object or actor from the background creates more depth and shape to a subject.
In lighting design, backlighting is the process of illuminating the subject from the back. In other words, the lighting instrument and the viewer face each other, with the subject in between. This creates a glowing effect on the edges of the subject, while other areas are darker. The backlight can be a natural or artificial source of light. When artificial, the back light is usually placed directly behind the subject in a 4-point lighting setup. A back light, which lights foreground elements from the rear, is not to be confused with a background light, which lights background elements (such as scenery).

Example of the Backlighting of someone doing yoga:

The Power of the Back Light | Fstoppers

Some good example of backlighting that the person is positing very well in the image below as if she is doing yoga and the lighting look like fire flame whilst the outline of the background is very dark. its also give a shadow from behind the person which make the light stay contrast within the image.

Side lighting-  Side lighting is a photography lighting technique where light is cast from one side onto a subject. This results in one side being illuminated while the opposite side remains in shadow. The angle at which the side lighting is applied varies based on the subject's pr the light source's position, but it fundamentally  involves lighting only one side of the subject. This technique is commonly employed to enhance contrast in an image and emphasise the subject's details.

This is an example of side lighting:

Pin page

The background has a dark tone like the night sky with bring the light towards the face of the subject. This blend very specially toward subject that the face expression brings the character mood very professional and in tension mood with a straight face reaction.

Chiaroscuro lighting- is a high- contrast lighting technique. Chiaroscuro uses a low key lighting setup, where a key light is used as the sole light source to achieve dark backgrounds with starkly lit subjects. It’s fascinating to think that a centuries-old painting technique founded during the Renaissance is responsible for how much of our cinema and TV looks today. But that’s exactly what’s happened. As you may have already guessed, in cinematography, chiaroscuro lighting refers to low and high-contrast lighting. It’s the very foundation of lighting in filmmaking.

Example of Chiaroscuro lighting:
Chiaroscuro technique in painting. Caravaggio, The Taking of Christ

The Taking of Christ by Michelangelo Merisi Da Caravaggio (1602).

Caravaggio was a particular master of the craft, effortlessly mixing light and shadow to create great contrast, depth, and dimension. This was the spectacular illusion of three-dimensional depth on a two-dimensional canvas – something that wowed purveyors of the time and continues to do so to this day.

This photo was designed by 1602 where it's creates a dynamic mood and tension to the character in the image. I can see that the character's mood look very shocking like they were asking for help and ending the war in the heartbeat. The light is key lighting which is very night mood format and look middle aged style that the good effect and meaning behind it.

Bounce light- is a lighting technique in which light from a strong light source is literally bounced off of a bounce board, reflector, or other light coloured surface. A light that is bounced causes a bigger spread of light than its original source. It can also diffuse the light onto a subject.  A bounce light is a lighting technique used in photography and videography to control and modify the direction, intensity, and quality of light by redirecting it off a reflective surface.

Example of bounce lighting:

Bounce Light Definition - What is Bounce Light by SLR Lounge

This man is facing on the side with a reflection that seem like a light is bouncing off from the subject making the image a bit darker. The moods convey that the man is looking very down or calm to give the way that he is trying to address a point that light is focusing on the subject to give the natural grow from the side of the face.

Campaign Advert  Using Surrealism Experiment

I have used photoshop to create this poster by selecting the tools called magic wand tool and  mask to some section of the image for the each layers but i have to selected the correct layer in order for the progress to work. I have decided to use the Japanese layout of the McDonald Advert instead of the original McDonald ads to create this poster. The tools that I used were mask tool, images, text boxes that is related to japan. I was about to use magic wand tool to remove some part of the image background and add an image to move to the back. I have only selected the main image as the purpose of the poster. In my opinion, i think creating this poster was straightforward and uncomplicated because I have experienced this software before which didn’t take that time for me to know the tools very specifically.

Second Campaign Advert Using Surrealism Experiment

I have mask or use magic wand tools to remove the part of the cartoon shopper and instead added a mountain as the result. This is my second poster of surrealism based on the "cost of living". I used mostly text and images but I was able to moved the layer of that image of the pocket behind looking like there were money falling out or inside the pocket.  In my opinion, i think the outcome of the poster was very good and successful as i was able to figure out how to mask the image and remove some section of the picture  to make it as my own and use it as a draft to make it look like i have created the poster all alone.

Surrealism

What is surrealism?

Surrealism is a cultural and artistic movement that originated  in the 1920s and 1930s as a reaction to the traumas of world wars 1 and the disillusionment with modern civilisation. It is a style that tries to challenge reality by depicting a warped, irrational universe filled with surprised, bizzard features. This movement had a tremendous impact on literature, film, and other kind of artistic expression; it was not confined to the visual arts alone. surrealism is a cultural and creative movement that mixes aspect of the subconscious dreams and the irrational to create a new world that differs from the reality we experience.

Why is surrealism used in campaign?

Surrealism in advertising is a proven method to engage and captivate audiences. It allows brands to differentiate themselves and stand out in a crowded marketplace. The power of imagination cannot be underestimated in advertising. It's what allows brands to create compelling narratives that engage audiences on a deep, emotional level. Surreal advertising pushes boundaries and challenges the norms. It encourages consumers to question their reality and consider new possibilities. Through the use of dreamlike imager, unexpected juxtapositions, and fantastical scenarios, surreal advertising captures the attention and sparks the imagination. It's a technique that has been used to great effect  by brands such as Coca Cola and Apple, whose surreal advertisement had become iconic in their own right.

Salvador Dali

The Persistence of Memory and Salvador Dalí's Contribution to Surrealism

This photo is the persistence of memory and Salvador dail's contribution to surrealism 1931. Also known as "The Melting Clocks" painted in 1931. its shows a desert with 4 clocks, of which 3 are squashed by the effect of time and heat, apparently.  The fourth clock, of which only the back is seen, is not deformed but is attacked by ants.I think the reason the clock melted is that the environment is based on the desert where it is hot and more likely for items to be dissolved.

This photo is created to make fire flame from a lighter and it is one of Lew drewinski poster and object like a book that was display in one of the famous website. This fire flame object is a symbolised that can be dangerous that people used for fun. I think Lev is showing the audience that it is one of the object that could be used in a campaign explaining to people that smoking is very bad for you and using got flame is nothing to play with. I think this photo is very interesting to any people who is smoker or like using flame so its up to them if they would want to continue using this type of equipment.

Surrealism in Advertising

15 Advertising and surrealism ideas | advertising, creative advertising, surrealism

This advert is about Pepsi and Coca Cola where the poster also said "we wish you a scary Halloween" infer that scary hour Halloween is approaching. This advert has three colours red, blue and white representing Nederland and how people should drink a slip from the can. This story is about a cheeky Pepsi Halloween advert that directly referenced its biggest competitor, coca cola, you can see Pepsi's hilarious Halloween ad from 2013. These brands knows that holidays are the best opportunity to attract buyers' attention and sell more. In my opinion, the advert is very creepy and petrifying because the background of the picture that related to spooky  season in October convey a message that they have made a choice to take a side to play up for their strength to reward the brand.

08.10.24 Interview/Vox Pops

For my Vox pops, i will go around the college to ask people that will be keen to take part on my interview video that only last for two minutes. The location will be in "Stanmore College" and i will selected some students that i know or willing to know to give their own opinion on the subject Black Lives Matter. I will use the studio and borrow a canon camera to get the room set up and the boom mic secure on the side of the scene as it will started recording on it own.

Definition of vox pop:

Don't ask questions that can be answered with a 'yes' or 'no' answer. Make sure questions are concise and easy to follow. If a question feels too meaty, try splitting it into two smaller, more specific questions. Phrase your vox pop questions with wording that your target demographic will understand.

A vox pop is a compilation of short interviews, usually conducted on the street or another public setting. This style is famously used in journalism, taking short opinions and soundbites from multiple members of the public.

Most vox pops will feature just a few short questions, rather than anything in-depth. Each interviewee is asked the same set of questions, likely about a popular topic, brand, or product.

Sometimes, a vox pop may take place in a closed setting, like an office. This would only really happen if the question revolves around something in that workplace. For example, it would make sense to ask postal workers about their thoughts on delivering mail in the rain, rather than something generic.

How long should a vox pop last for?

Vox Pops are usually short audio or video collages of multiple voices and are under two minutes long.

My vox pop questions for my campaign:

Q1. What does Black Lives Matter mean to you?

Q2. How does social media affect Black Lives Matter?

Q3.What is BLM’s relationship to the Civil Rights Movement?

Q4.Give your own opinion on how BLM affect you and your daily life

Lighting for Vox pop

Try to avoid filming on windy day (as wind sounds very loud through the camera's microphone!) and avoid places with strong echoes  ( such as sports halls). Where possible stand in natural light or near a window to get the best possible picture.

How does Vox pop interview work?

Make sure all of the questions in your questionnaire reflect your objectives.
Don’t ask questions that can be answered with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer.
Make sure questions are concise and easy to follow. If a question feels too meaty, try splitting it into two smaller, more specific questions.
Phrase your vox pop questions with wording that your target demographic will understand. Avoid slang where possible.
Consider including props and other ways to make your vox pops questions more creative, engaging and insightful.
Come up with a few recruitment starters. How are you going to entice people to take part in your vox pops questionnaire? Plan a few opening lines.
Don’t include too many questions. We think 10 is a good number, 15 is verging on too many. People will only give you good answers whilst they don’t feel like you are wasting their time. Keep it short, sweet and on topic.
Test out your questionnaire with a friend or colleague and conduct practice run throughs. This will help make sure that your questions will actually illicit the kind of responses you are looking for.
Take your time. We recommend working through multiple drafts of a vox pop questionnaire. After your first draft, do a practice run and adapt it where necessary. Repeat this a few times to perfect your questionnaire.

Theories in media

Audience theory:

The cultural theorist, Stuart explored how people make sense of media texts and claimed audience were active not passive. An active audience engages, interprets and responds to a media text in different ways and is capable of challenging the ideas encoded in it.

Uses and Gratifications Theory:

The theory asserts that people use media to gratify specific wants and needs. Unlike many media theories that view media users as passive, uses and gratification see users as active agents who have control over their media consumption. Uses and gratification  theory emphasis on individual differences has led researchers to examine the way personality impact people's motivations for using media. For example, looking at personality traits like neuroticism and extroversion to see if people with different traits would identify different motivations for watching tv.
In recent years, Marvel has been the most successful franchise at the box office, grossing more than $17 billion in ticket sales and critical acclaim. With awesome visual effects, an immersive audio experience, much-loved characters and terrific storytelling, the Marvel cinematic universe epitomises the diversion category of the Uses and Gratification theory.
Published in 1972 and widely regarded as the most complete version of the Uses and Gratifications Theory, McQuail, Blumer and Brown’s model of mass communication lists four categories: diversion; personal relationships; personal identity; and surveillance.1

Two steps flow theory:

The two steps flow model point out that the media does not have a direct effect on the whole of the media audience, but is medicted through  opinion leaders, who absorb the information and pass it on to their immediate social group. According to Katz and Lazarsfeld, opinion leaders holds a trusted position in their community due to their knowledge or personal characteristics. The relationship  between leaders and followers is key. Examples include commentators analysing sports or films, and influencers on social media.

However, opinion leaders may promote subjective or problematic views leading to cultural eliteism or dangerous ideologies. Their authority means they are vulnerable  to criticism, especially in a diverse media landscape.

Hypodermic needle theory

The hypodermic needle theory come from a fear of the mass media, and gives the media much more power than it ever have in a democracy. The concept ignores the idea that not everyone in an audience behaves in the same way. the needle theory is a linear communication  theory that suggests that media messages are injected directly into the brains of passive audience. people believe that the mass media can have a powerful effect on people and parents continue to worry about the effect of television and violent video games.

Scream Attackers Given 6 Years

My son should be burying me."Katie Wright had been on the phone to her son when he was pulled over by police.Outside, the world's media had been invited and the area was crawling with private armed security.Daunte Wright's mother gave an emotional address, saying: "The roles should be completely reversed. My son should be burying me."Katie Wright had been on the phone to her son when he was pulled over by police. He said: "We come today as the air fresheners for Minnesota. We're trying to get the stench of police brutality out of the atmosphere. We're trying to get the stench of racism out of the atmosphere."We're trying to get the stench of racial profiling out of the atmosphere."We come to Minnesota as air fresheners because your air is too odorous for us to breathe."Killed almost a year apart, the deaths of Daunte Wright and George Floyd bear striking similarities for this community. Both killed by police in circumstances that have caused protest and outrage. Both have become focus points in the national conversation for systemic racism, police reform and accountability.

Two schoolboys who brutally stabbed a 13-year-old friend and left him for dead after watching the horror film Scream have each been ordered to be detained for six years. Daniel Gill, 14, and Robert Fuller, 15, both of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, were found guilty of the attempted murder of Ashley Murray in August but were sentenced at Hull Crown Court in Friday.

The victim suffered 18 stab wounds and was left at an isolated beauty spot outside Harrogate.
He was found 40 hours later by a man out walking his dogs and despite suffering appalling injuries recovered enough to testify in court.
Judge Myerson told Fuller and Gill: "From the moment you set out that morning, the death of Ashley Murray was on your minds. When the two of you believed he was dead you tried to put his body in a bin liner."
After reading psychiatric reports the judge accepted they had behavioural difficulties which enabled convicted Harrogate drug dealer, Paul Aurens, at whose home they watched the film, to exercise undue influence over them.

Preparing for my campaign pitch 10/10/24

Campaign pitch written up

For my campaign, my aim is to stop racism spreading around the country like UK even in USA as this issues happen hundred time over there. This campaign that i chosen is called blm (Black Lives Matter) representative and value so much purpose and meaning to me and other black people in the UK and USA. I am raising an awareness to stop violent, knife crime and gun shots against black people in all ages. The motivation for this issues to investigate the damage and vandalism against both mens and women. The police has always making obvious scenes that people will bring their phone out to record how the police force keeps beating up innocent people.

The Key message that i will be delivering is that i wanted polices to stop harassing the black community as we are all human. Just because we are not your kind of people doesn't mean you can treat the black community like unappreciative human being. I want to making police know that the community is standing by the wrong and right toward the community of black lives matter. George Floyd has dies in the armed forces against police just because he is a gentle black man who did no harm and not predicted that he is a human bing and we should all be treat equally with equal right. The messages goes to Floyd and all the black lives out there because this is not right and i really hope the community can make a difference in people lives. I wanted to create a brighter and ingenious  future for all so something like what happened to George and martin Luther king etc will never experience this type of incident again. I would want white police officers to recognise that black community is never afraid to achieve a strong impact. The slogan has so many meaning behind the situation is that our lives really matter and we want to be heard so that we are spread a good value to the people in our country.

The current situation involved in BLM is Our lives matter, hand up; don't shoot,No justice, No peace convey that this campaign is very important and foremost for all black people in all ages. I can see that black people that has a religion doesn't get recognise and this issues motivated people that we are not alone and we got each other back as people has got a religion. As i think white people treated black community that got a religions way differently to other black people who doesn't have a faith but it can happen to people who doesn't have a religion. Whatever happen we need to make sure that when black people are on the street, you need to greet them with some honest and respect as this will be wrong ad they never learn their lesson.

Target Audience

(All ages from 15+ years of black people)

I will make a poster where there is a hand rising uo infer that people are stand up to racism that goes very well for my campaign.

Slogan/Tagline Option:

Feedback on Campaign Pitch

This is a feedback that I was given from presenting my pitch and I got some feedback that could make my campaign improve better.

Campaign Research 1 Black People that got Shot/killed by the armed of the police officers:

George Floyd:

On May 25 2020, George was shot by a white officer ages 44 outside the shop for something George didn't do. Chauvin kneeled on his neck for over nine minutes while Floyd was handcuffed and lying face-down on the street. before he was placed on the ground, George had exhibited signs of anxiety, complaining about having claustrophobia and bing unable to breathe which cause result of death as it very damage the side and middle part of the neck. Shortly after the call, two police officers arrived  around 20:08. Mr Floyd was sitting with two other people in the car packed around the corner.

After a video was posted on social media, protests began almost immediately in Minneapolis and quickly spread across the nation. Floyd's murder came after protests over the killing of Ahmaud Arbery in Atlanta in February and of Breonna Taylor in Louisville in March and also come in third month of nationwide lockdowns due to the covid 19.
It wasn’t enough, but it was progress, and to many activists, Trump looks like white America’s response. “Trump was elected in part because Black Lives Matter was winning,” says Jessica Byrd of the Movement for Black Lives. “Trump was our punishment.” If so, he was an effective one. The President pokes sore spots in the body politic so incessantly that no single cause can sustain the nation’s attention. Protest is a performance, and the audience Black Lives Matter found during the tail end of the Obama Administration has been subsumed into the broader anti-Trump “resistance,” which pinballs between outrages: the Muslim ban, children in cages, impeachment. In a way, Black Lives Matter has been a victim of its own accomplishments: it articulated a language of subjugation that could be applied to causes such as immigration or gender or class. Systemic injustice became about everything, rather than the original thing, which was police killing black people.

Complete coverage: George Floyd death, Derek Chauvin trial - Los Angeles Times

Breonna Taylor:

Taylor was an African-American medical worker who was killed on march 13 2020, after police officers from (LMPD) Louisville Metro Police Department  forced entry into her home. Taylor's boyfriend Kenneth Walker, fired a warning shot, mistaking the police for intruders, and wounded officer Jonathan Mattingly. The officers said that they announced themselves as police before forcing entry, but walker said he did not hear any announcement and thought the officers were intruders. Walker fired his gun in the direction of the officers, in what he said was a warning shot. Walker was unhurt but Taylor  who was behind walker was hit by six bullets and died. Plainclothes police, executing a search warrant, forced their way into the apartment where Breonna Taylor was in bed with her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, shortly after midnight.
Following this incident, Louisville has banned the use of no-knock warrants in police investigations. Furthermore, Brett Hankison, one of the officers involved in the death of Breonna Taylor, was fired, with the other 2 officers placed on administrative leave. However, many people are not satisfied with these punishments, as they fail to atone for the officers’ actions. 2 of the 3 officers, who were present at the scene, are still employed by their department and facing zero charges for her murder. Taylor’s death is one of the many examples of racial prejudice in our world today, and the very reason why police reform needs to happen. Since the killing of George Floyd, protests have broken out all over the world, demanding justice for the lives lost and holding those involved accountable for their crimes. Social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter have also allowed it’s users to raise awareness on cases of police brutality and racism. It is more important now than ever to raise our voices on the Black Lives Matter movement to continue the fight, and ensure that no further lives are lost at the hands of police officers.

Daunte Wright:

A former police officer who was convicted of killing a black motorist when she used her handgun instead of her taser during a traffic stop is out of prison and delivering a speech presentation law enforcement  conferences, stirring up an heated debate over how officers punished for misconduct should atone for their misdeeds. Katie wright, Daunte Wright said the plan amounts to an enraging scheme where her son's killer would turn a profit from his death and dredge up painful memories in the process. Potter did not respond to hone and email messages and Ali declined to show the AP the full presentation. Two days after Minneapolis saw justice for George Floyd, this community buried another young black life.
Floyd’s death in May 2020 prompted waves of protests across the US and had a profound impact on the Black Lives Matter movement globally – but nowhere has it affected communities more than in Minneapolis.
On 11 April 2021, outcry again returned to the city after Wright was shot dead by officer Kim Potter in Brooklyn Center, a northwestern suburb with a population of about 30,000.
Potter was found guilty of first- and second-degree manslaughter on 23 December and was sentenced to 24 months - 16 in prison and the rest under supervised release - on 18 February.
During the trial, the mostly white jury was presented with starkly different views of Potter, with the defence claiming that she made an innocent mistake by pulling her handgun instead of her Taser and the prosecution portraying her as a veteran cop who had gone through extensive training that warned of such a mix-up.

Analyse Posters on Black Lives Matter 1

I have looked up some poster design ideas and i have adjust and came across this interesting style of poster which the colour yellow relate to the campaign that i have picked. This type of poster is the typography poster which has a lots of different type styles texts that also address an message to people as well as white people. We can also know that we are gathering together to notice that black people lives really do matter. I can identify that a huge hand rising up to make blm listen to the people in such tough situation that can not be ressolve. And that we are need to be heard and respect others in our community so we rise our hang up to stop the violence and threat.  Theres are text like " we said black lives matter", " we never said only black lives matter", We know All lives Matter", we just need your help with black lives matter because black lives are now in danger" that pulling the attention that blm is a unique, distinctive social issues and everyone shouldn't judge on the issues as it really important to black people.

Poster plan idea:

For my poster design, i am design to create a similar poster like this example in my own product which i will use quite a lot of texts and a images of my friends and other students in the college all around the poster. I don't know if i will use the main image for the whole page or use some smaller version of images in some place on the page. This example i had above has given me an idea to adapt the style of the product/poster that could help me because they use the colour yellow a lot in the blm movement. I am thinking i could use the yellow for the background and placed images of my friends on the front with a unique and creative type tool. These text can motivate me to use switch or moved some of the text around like this one above. This poster really address the movement of blm and how i can use a similar message for my final product. I will added photos of my friends and other black actors on my poster showing their side and equal to the matter like there are doing a protest on the street.

Update Campaign Name:

I am thinking of change my campaign name to more specific and engaging capture from an online free name generator. I have decided to switch my final campaign name to “Equality stand” which is very convenient and appropriate fit which it will address to the statement and the movement  that is part of the issue. I used this free online website called "Free Al Digital Marketing Business Name Ideas Generator" to use a non copyright name.

Poster Experiment for my campaign : Black Lives Matter

I will thinking to take pictures of a few black people in the college to use for my poster and placed the photos on the page which make the community unite. So that we can make a voice and changes in people life. I definitely used a suitable and acceptable name for BLM which will draw the message in. I have used images of my friends to place on the final design poster.

Poster Experiment- Black Lives Matter 1

I started creating my first part of my poster experiment and I have added a photo of my friend for the meantime but will added a few more images later. The final piece of this poster, i am going to add more photos of my friends inside the college. I have use the mask tool to mask the main image and added the horizontal type tool for many time in the experiment to give the poster more interesting, unique volume to the poster. This is a started process of the poster experiment. I have a speaker regarding to my chosen campaign name which connect both issues. I was finding it diffcult to decide on what to add on the poster but it took me some time and effort to look and search online for similar design.

Vid chronicles videos inspiration:

Video 1

I have got some inspiration advices from this video where a female cop enters a black man apartment thinking she was in her own floor. But, luckily she shoot this bright young man because she didn’t know she wasn’t in her house. The moral of the story is “that a simple act of paying attention can go a long way”. It’s really want help me learn that whites cops shouldn’t treat black people in any harm and discrimination.

Video 2

I have added a video based on blm and how a mentally illness teenager boy was watching Netflix film that involved with gun violence. He was playing around the house thinking he is holding an actual gun. Although, he took his brother’s gun from the kitchen counter and went outside to explore the gun even more. But a lady on the other side of the apartment saw and suddenly was shocked so quickly called the cops. The lady was terrified as she thought the boy would shot someone in the presence but the cops arrived on time and sooner or later the boy was shot by the cops when they didn’t realize that he has learning difficulties. The moral of the story for this title “just because someone with a mental illness seems well off still looking after them because anything can happen in a matter of seconds”.

Planning for Poster Process

Poster Experiment 2:

I used an app called photoshop/Corel draw 2024 to make this poster. Then I got myself an images of George Floyd, Breanna Taylor, daunte wright and the background image of the street road on google images. Next, I tried to trim some part off the images by going to bitmap and then outline trace and lastly clip map and it’s brought up a box where I can start trimming or removing the background in order and keep the part I wanted. This is what I did for the image of Daunte Wright by cutting and removing a few section toward the image of him.
My opinion on this work is that I liked how the poster turned out in the end as I like how some of the image were cut. However, I will started creating more development poster in the next few days to keep update of what really will be the final poster of this campaign. I like how colorful the outcome went and I used white text for the title to help and keep the poster stand out and bright to make it attractive.

Poster Experiment 3:

I have used an application called "Photoshop". Then i got a image of my friend from my phone to paste onto the document to use to trace some part of picture using quick selection tool, Magic wand tool to keep the image into shape and remove the outline of the background. I also use "lasso tool" for the logo to change the colour to pink or purple and for the logo i use the same tool to remove section and outline of the Logo and make some development of the process so far. I used "text tool" to type the slogan and title for this poster and change the font style to something that effective and eye catching to help it engaging the content more. I personally think that i like the poster experiment so far as it's has bright peachy colour effect/type style  and really bring the dynamic that match the theme of the campaign. The poster would have turned out exceptional if the photoshop has ways to blend colours together quickly as i think that illustrator does this. I didn't realise that I ment to mask the image instead of using magic wand tool and quick selection tool to remove the background as it's made some damage parts of the image which doesn't come out horrible and messy.

Wednesday 20th November 2024

Planning for the interview:

Interview questions that i will asked students in stanmore college:

I am going to ask at least three students from site about black lives matter which is toward the primary reseach: i will write down some notes on papewr asking each interviwee any questions that they feel comfortable doing. I need to think if it's will be possible to ask and get respond to two or three people in total. Although i was suggesting that i would start filming interview tomorrow if i will able to find one available person that could perfect for the vox pop.

Questions for the interview video (Vox pop):

Q1. What does Black Lives Matter mean to you?

Q2. How does social media affect Black Lives Matter?

Q3.What is BLM’s relationship to the Civil Rights Movement?

Q4. Give your own opinion on how BLM affect you and your daily life:

Q5. Do you like the campaign name: Equality Stand and slogan: "Lifting Black Voices, Shaping a Better Future"?

Analyse an video for Black Lives Matter 2:

I have chosen these two  type of interview versions on people explaning their view points on "BLM" and i was very impress that some of the comments is really inspiring and engaging wich give me an ideas to use similar research of their for the video of my own. In video 1 at the top,  Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi were interviewed by Mia Birdsong where the three founders share what they've learned about leadership and what provides them with hope and inspiration in the face of painful realities. While as, the video 2 convey that these people are on a video interview based in their household where they gathered together to address the important statement and issues to the community. I think i understand why the subject matter is very important to people who wanted to make a change and end the racism. I can show if i wanted to use this type of way to interview people like producing on the show or video call to the member of the public.

The video 2 is called "BleedGreenTV: Black Lives Matter Interview" A host named Harriet is bringing and speaking to Terry, Bawa and dK about what the movement means to them and how its affect them in life. One of the interviewee said that i've grown older like yeah it does happen a lot and Glasgow but it's more as put in as if it's like meant to be joke but it not a join at all which is very painful and disturbing response that you can't go back to.

Campaign Research 2:

Stand up to racism-

Thousands of anti-racists and anti-fascists turned out to counter the Tommy Robinson hate march in central London.

Around 20,000 people from across the trade union movement and beyond turned out. Protesters travelled to London on coaches and trains from as far away as Scotland.

The fascists’ numbers were in a similar ballpark to SUTR’s march, with up to 25,000. This was only marginally more than their previous central London outing in July. This wasn’t the breakthrough the fascists were hoping for.

Given the dramatic call out from Robinson from beyond his remand into custody on the eve of the demonstration, the numbers on his mobilisation were not as bolstered as they could have been. This is an important aspect of yesterday’s events, while the scale of the fascist led demonstration is still extremely worrying and no cause for complacency.

Palestine activists and campaigners against the police killing of Chris Kaba, who had joined the United Families and Friends Campaign rally earlier in the day, took part. The Justice for Chris Kaba campaign spoke at the main rally at the end of the march.

The march route went from Piccadilly to Whitehall and stopped the fascists from assembling at the Cenotaph and from reaching Downing Street.
Recent polling, funded by Brexit businessperson Arron Banks, put Reform UK at 20 percent in Wales. Welsh Labour was on 30 percent, Plaid Cymru on 21 percent and the Tories on 17 percent.

Ahead of the event, Farage described Reform UK as “now the main challenger to Labour in Wales”. He went after Labour, suggesting that people had been let down by “failure after failure” from successive Welsh Labour governments.

Party insiders are targeting a return of at least 16 members of the Welsh parliament in 2026. Reform UK did not win any MPs in Wales in this year’s general election, but came second in 13 of the 32 seats and secured 16.9 percent of the vote.

This is part of a wider strategy that Farage has spoken about. He wants to mimic the Liberal Democrats’ strategy of building up a national base of regional representatives, councillors and activists to try to expand its support.

At the Reform UK conference in September, Farage said, “The Liberal Democrats build branches and the Liberal Democrats win seats at district, council and unity level. The Liberal Democrats put literature through doors in their target areas.”

A director of a polling consultancy, Luke Tryl, warned on Friday that if Reform UK “got sort of Lib-Dem style efficiency they could gain around 50 seats”.

Pushing back against Reform UK and the far right in Britain will take organisation. That’s why anti-racists are gathering in central London to attend Stand Up To Racism’s summit next Saturday where campaigners will discuss and debate the way forward.

Samira Ali, national organiser for SUTR, said, “Taking on Farage and Reform UK is a massive challenge. Trump winning the US election is a massive boost to racism and the far right everywhere.”

She argued, “Anti-racists have mobilised massively to push back the far right in August and against Tommy Robinson on our 20,000 strong demonstration on 26 October. But the threat is far from over.

Logo ideas for my campaign

I got an inspiration about creating a logo by using some of the ideas from Google. So I went across a logo that is similar which I use redesign the design logo. I have  develop and adapt the ideas to help me decide how to create my official logo. I didn't  copied the actual logo as it's one of the copyright law so I change and use my imagination.

Here is a inspiration that I got ideas for my logo from:

Analyses an website for my campaign 3: BLM

Black Lives Matter Movement Website:

Website 1:

I have chosen this website of the "BLM" movement because its has a dark tone black background colour which blend and adapt. However, there will be an option if there was a full picture of people on the street matching. I like how they almost use AI pictures to use to create the unique and traditional from different cultures to explain how the campaign really matter with the connection of two flags "South Africa" and "Palestine flag" infer that the community can find a way to work together no matter where they are from. There is a video showing a reporter explaining his views on people who get hurts, kills by the armed of police officers which is very upsetting and disturbing scene to witness. I like how they use two version of people "adult" and "children" of the same or similar people on the top corner next to the video infer the childhood of their life. Their logo at the top right hand side shows a hand of a statue art shows that I use a similar ways to create my own logo with yellow, orange tone with black strips connected with lines joining to the hands which infer that people are aware that they are so connected to this matter and the site title around the outside of logo doesn't really stand out as it's doesn't shows specific colours to  draw the audience's attention. It would be nice if they change the main background colour first and then think of the right colours for the title that match the appearance as white colour text is very boring and repetitive.

Website 2:

This is a Black Lives Matter  website based on the different cultures
around the world such as Nigeria,South Africa,Kenya,Jamaica.

This website has a light peachy colour tone for the background which is very special and bright for the people who really wanted to explore this site for the community. They use Verdana type style for the main description of the website which shows how special and passionate the issues is which makes people see that the campaign something they should pay attention to. The site has a range of photos which are six images as they use the correct photograph to keep the culture going strong for the country. The yellow strips under the subtitle could have be better if they show some headlines moving across the site for update news. The subtitles " About, Our Work, Resources, Media Center, Transparency, column with arrows showing little sub-titles of other options of the site which any ways to explore the site deeper. If I would want to use a similar website like this, I would change the background colour as it's doesn't suit this concept of the campaign as it's should be relate to the issues.

Website 3:

This website is the same and similar design to the first site I have analyse. An grey box of different images and text example: a poster of George Floyd with a slogan " End Racism" spreading across words to the community. The Poster 4 has a yellow and white slogan : "THE WAY TO GET STARTED IS TO QUIT TALKING AND BEGIN DOING with horizontal text style at the side of the page with spare in-between the letters. The poster 2 doesn't stand out probably as most colour text is deeply black which doesn't catch any  attention as the colours are too rare. They use quite a lot of texts across the pages but some of the text need to change colours or styles as it's doesn't match the  background appearance. I like how they use an orange text titled "What Are We Doing?" in cap locks infer for the people to show and stand up for their rights of laws. I am not impress that there is an outline text that is blurry for the background image which doesn't bring the tone brightly and very much. The site only use one button" donate" shows that people can donate money through this site as it's look like a charity but it's only for people who want to make a difference for the blm.

Creating Website for my campaign:

I am going to make a website for my campaign since I didn't have time to create a video that I wanted to. Don't think making a video will happen officially to be honest. My plan is to create a website for my chosen campaign.

Final Poster: BLM(Item 2)

This is my final poster for my campaign and I used abode illustrator app to plan and create this poster. I used mask tool to trace and remove some part of the original image background of "my best friend" with a grey theme colour behind it which I used colour to do this. The tools I used are: text tool, generate shape fill, colours, images to help me work the progress to make this design. Next part of the experiment is to create the website development to keep the same logo throughout my product process. I used AI generator fill tool to commute the clout of the image of the member of my favourite group “FLO” top right hand side to make it look like if the image is covered with crosses and very tension with a dark and purple form of imagination and that the image of the person seem removed from behind the background.

Final Logo/Identity: BLM

This is my final logo.

I had an ideas to use this design as my logo for all the product that I will be created. I want to use this symbol as an evidence to support the society of the campaign. And it will shows an impact to make a difference as part of the identity. I used abode illustrator to create this peaceful and inspiring logo. I just wanted to make the logo very simple and have a touching thoughts to address the feeling of people having the knowledge and understanding message to the campaign. I used dark colors like black, purple as it's something that will assume to remember the innocent people when they get killed or passed away to honored their memories and how important they are to their family and friends.

I have tried to outline the hand symbol for a different color choice by using color tool but I selected each section of the hand image quickly that automatically changes the color tone very quickly exactly how I wanted it to be. And to see if I could change the color scheme successfully by doing this process on separate layers. There was an option to use three different colors for the hand but I have decided to use one specific color which makes the campaign more complex and specific and i thought it wouldn’t work that way how I planned it. However, I thought I didn’t find a way to change the colors of the hand but I find an solution to the problem help me realise that I have fill the colors almost using “ Ai generators fill tool” or maybe use paint brush to highlight the image to show the colour properly.

Logo 2:

I want to create a second logo for BLM using illustrator and I used tools like  rectangle, texts. I used generators fill tool to animate and they give me options to use a variety of ideas to design the final mini poster for the logo. I have adapt and this style of logo for all of my  products. I have started using the second logo for my website at the meantime. The final image didn't turn out exactly on how I want as it was displayed as blurry not a great quality. This gives an idea to create many more logos for any campaign in the future.

Experiment with campaign items 3:Planning/Sketches of Website

Website experiment using wix:

I have experiment and sketch a draft drawing of my website that I would know how it looks. I have tried to make the website more realistic and accessible with good accurate information for my target audience from 15 years +. Now I understand why I am tried to make people feel like this site is  something to count on to capture emotions feeling to the community that wanted to make people live secure and safe. Now, I have a summaries on how the site will would look like with a few subtitles and headings that would catch the attention from the audience looking and explore the site. On the right hand side, you can see a strip of an “about page” with a small amount of text and image and a button for “learn more” at the bottom corner.

More images that I will be using for my website below:

I have started developing and creating my website using Wix since last week. However, I wanted to use a different software to plan and create the website site it's always Wix and I want to use this site to create this website which is Square space and it is very specific and useful and uncomplicated to navigate compare to Wix website software and how it organising and sometime doesn't bring the contents exactly how I want it to be. The web give me an ideas and solution to bring the elements to life by asking AI to help me create the site themselves by asking their questions on tips on how the site would look like as the final. I couldn't know how to create a site on its own as it's didn't let me create a separate site without asking AI. The colours for this site is light blue and creamy white that refer to the theme as the site knows these colours will be an symbolise the rights for the community. I have made some quick changes to the site by misspelt the words and the statement to make me realise that the original text before didn't make any sense so I have to edit the text and make a swipe of understanding to the message of the website.

Final Website on Wix:

Unit 9 Evaluation

For unit 9, I have chosen my campaign to be based on Black Lives Matter. I have researched and analyse different campaign suggestions to give me an idea on what could be my final issues to use as a final product for this unit. However, i have planned to search some other relate campaign that was very consider for me. but as the final campaign, I have chose Black Lives Matter as an evidence for this task. I have so many ideas to research any sources to inspire my work that impact to know if I could use or select some examples to help me design my product. I have search an image of a typography poster and videos but I could plant and create my video eventually as I didn't have time to inform people to take part of my video. I wanted to inform my friend to be part of the video but she is very busy with her own things. Although, I have changed my mind by developing a website and keep creating a poster. My plan was to create a video by filming some of my friends from outside of college or even message them to start recording. This is wasn't the planning that I was expecting as the time frame wasn't keen and clear schedule for me as the deadline was approaching so I have to analyse another similar product such as website and look for more information and screenshot a image of a similar website to help me understand that there is no many website for this campaign but only one site. At first, I have decided to make a short or long video for “BLM” to imply people to support and make their own views on how they feel that  this issues is something very important for the daily life as it’s happen multiple time. And people have their own opinions which will cause a problem as not everyone will agrees with the matter. I made a search for many different campaign names that I could think of and create a lists with only four to five names and I only selected the best fitter/suitable name for the campaign which was "Equality Stand" and the name fits perfectly with the how my campaign would be going. The purpose of each items that I have created was to draw an attention to the black community by realizing that making a website will be a better fit to aware that people would be the important things in life expect-ally black people as white people doesn't seem to care and mention them as they are not their own and a ,other of people always use the internet so a website is one of the convenient area where people can explore and notice that there are a lot of informations that would help them in the society. However my ideas was to create a video and if I have goes with this plan, maybe YouTube will be a video social media platform that a lot of people would be watching daily. The items that communicate the campaign message well for me is website but I would  say  video if I have a chance to make this process work. Instead, I just stick with creating a website which will give people more appealing and effective to the target audience. I think the benefit of holding together as a cohesive with a clear message is to aware that police officers has effectively destroy people's mental health as they always get picked on referring to the color of their skin. This will be a message to let the officers knows that they shouldn't harms anyone unexpected circumstances. For my campaign I have chosen, would consider my target audience for young teens ages 15 years old up to older adults which will be suitable and convince as they would understand the key point of this issues and it's effect them specially. The items that would appeal the most to the audience at first it's would be video that you will watched people's opinions. However, I think the website will make people wonder a new things for this issues as there isn't many sites in the real world. This will be an advising them to take an hint and reduce the serious impacts on people which will make them feel isolated and hurt. I would my audiences to know that BLM is a important solution that would make everyone in our community to stand and have equal rights with each other and a website is a product that people use everyday exploring the website so they would explore and come across the site if it's popped up on the search or I would share the link to the close friends in my circle. I was pleased on how the website turned out to be as I have added a lot of images than texts but I did add some text and use a range of colors. However, I use more image of my friends and I want to added more photos of my friends from college would make the campaign more intelligently and how much black people means to the community and how we trust people who able to give us the effort and credits. I have encountered difficulties with this campaign project, I have planned to make a short video by asking why friends to send their copies to me on messages but unfortunately, the schedule wasn't aim to inform them on time which I would consenting but they didn't have time to do so as they were so busy. I was seem to realized that unavailable people didn't want to include in this video preparation set up. I have an idea to change my product items from a video to a website. And I have to make quick analyzing for a website as part of my research which everything was under the wire. The items that i have enjoyed making was the two logos and one powerful  poster on illustrator which was interesting that I used a lot of tools like Ai generator fill, colors and shapes before I could use those tools to finalize the final design after using mask tool and image trace on the software called Abode Illustrator. I can consider that I employ a lots of dark violence colour such as purple and black that blend very well for the campaign as the issues is based on people who lost their life in a damage and tough situation. For this unit, I would like to improve the way I have plan to create a product. For example, if i would able to create a video for the specifically time. This would make some improve with how I have analyse any similar product expectably if the items is not the final product that as I would create. It would be change at any time as I would think that the final product wouldn't be a video and its could be a website. Although I don't want to keep changing the product refer creating if people won't be involved in the first product (video). I have to summarize some of my ideas to something different as the video prep is not considering by looking at products that would be good match for my meet target audience. The part of my campaign is using hashtags for the website  would be the successful experience. However, I did have some struggling with my website which didn't realized that I have to add categories to the site to make the website flow a little. I am pleased on how the site brings out in the end with some excitement and good solid images and use the correct text styles and colors with the different ranges of background techniques.

Website Evaluation (Item 3)

For my website improvement for unit 9, I got some feedback from the teacher explaining that I should use my own photos and text infer that I have used my own creative thinking and skills and not just using someone else work. So I used those feedbacks to rearranged the website by adding a photos of my best friend who I meet a few years through our families. The categories for the website were " home, contact, our story, poster, news and changes to " home, contact, our story, poster, as I removed the news tag as I don't think it is very connivence to be included with the website. I used colours to kept the site more bright and specifically for the target audience to understand the content of the product. this wasn't the plan that I was expecting in the end but I knew most of the ideas that I was thinking wasn't my work as I was making a rush through with the site by selecting random images for the site. Creating a website of your choice, you need to add text and original imagery to showcase that you have create the product yourself. The website was amazing presented with few images of my friends where there was a strips of my friend on the home page representing  that she is the main person of the site. I could have made a decision to changes the color background since the peach is very intelligent and vivid which doesn't match the symbol of the campaign for the target audience to look and explore. I could choose a colour to address the audience understand that the website is for black people to aware that the campaign is very common and important for those people who passed away and justice is served so I think the site could help them raise money to stop police force hurting innocent people. The website has a story where I have explained my friends that I met few years back and the other friend that I have met when I was little referring the attention that I still have the connect with one of my friend and the other person not really as we connect recently which I added on the site. The website doesn't have much items but I was able to figure out the issues by repeating some of the images that I have got on my phone to add on the website to use to organize the pages probably. The white text on the background with an image on top can be specifically but need to be clear for someone to read it and I think the font colour is not that bad. The research that I have analysed was to look at some endowed of different website online. However, I have noticed that there wasn’t many site about blm as the campaign doesn’t represent as a website, it’s more of visual and communication ways of addressing to the black community. As I was searching for some example, I came across a useful experience of a website that was relate to the campaign but had less features and not much information that would have help me with the own knowledge of creating my site. The information I want to use as an example wasn’t convenience for me to know how would I start creating the website. Then, I have to start from scratch by thinking on the introduction of my website and photos that would look attractive and engaging for people to read and join with the story of blm. I will guarantee that people would love the new design of the website once they find that the link is online for everyone to see that it’s will catch attention. I have identified that the links are working frequently and constantly for people not to struggle to find the correct information. The text wasn’t format properly on the page of Our Story so I have to move the text to the side where the blue background is to see if the problem is working. This makes me wonder if I would use Wix for my website design again. I have researched other websites templates that I could use to create my site if the current website platform isn’t convenient for me to use for future projects. If I could change the website, I would make a survey asking people whether to plan and create a website is suitable for Black Lives Matter as they will think in the real world there isn’t much website based on the campaign. So I would suggest the decision by coming up with my own idea to summarize and redesign a site that people would like to identify the new substitutes and improvements of the website. In my opinion, I don’t think that I would create a website for this campaign anymore as it’s doesn’t really suit the subject of the issue. Overall, the website is effective and eye catching for people to wonder that there is a product that could help the campaign be more successful and competitive. And I didn't want to steal some of the original design and colour from the current site as it's would be part of copyright law so I could have used black and white background to represent "BLM" or my chosen campaign name. I just made another adjustment to the website by changing the writings in some of the categories. For the “Our Story” title, I have reworded the name from my friend to equality stand story which represents the campaign. The website didn’t play out exactly how I wanted so I made some suggestions to the main home page by arranging the paragraphs effectively and the sentences phrases. I have to change most of the titles from Black Lives Matter to equality stand as this is what I have chosen for the name. At the top of the page, I have decided to added the slogan “lifting black voices, shaping a better future” as it’s suit the theme of the issue. I need to know that I should find an method to arrange the text in order for my target audience to address the message.
